The application is a knowledge management and notarization platform specifically designed to promote better learning outcomes for students.

It provides three main areas of assistance:

  1. The organization of teaching resources
  2. Provision of insight to maximize the efficacy of teaching resources
  3. Immutable notarization of the reputation of all interactions

The result for teachers is that they will spend significantly less time preparing for class and experience better results in terms of student engagement. This will give students a better chance of enjoying a personalized learning experience and performing better in evaluations.

Currently, the application is split over the following modules:

  1. User Profile
  2. Schools
  3. Classes
  4. Subjects
  5. Materials
    1. Generators
    2. Deltas
  6. Activities
  7. Lesson plans
  8. Curricula
  9. Schedule
  10. Search

Each module performs a specific role that is designed to help teachers make sense of the progress of their learners. Everything we create on the system falls into one of these categories. We refer to things created on the system as “objects” and every object has its very own ID so that it can be tracked through time. The reputation of each object is also linked inextricably with this ID.

The current version of the application is geared towards gaining an understanding of how these objects work together. What we are doing is collecting as much information as we can about what teachers are doing. This is the insight that we need to know in order for us to create more value for teachers. Once this phase is complete, amendments will be made and additional supporting features will be added.

The resultant interaction between objects is what we refer to as “insight”. A good example would be looking at a set of activities in relation to a given class and the level of engagement these create. The application would then search for similar styles of activities globally and suggest these to teachers. The obvious goal being to ensure that students are always in their optimal zone of proximal development.

Over and above the basic insight, there is another metric called reputation which is slightly more complex. It is the weighted sum total of all the interactions that any given object on the system has. Thus when a teacher sees recommended objects in their feed, they can instantly check the reputation of those objects. This prevents any party from manipulating feed results for commercial gain. All interactions are stored in an encrypted ledger that is publicly accessible so anyone can audit any object at anytime.

There is a points and reward system that underpins the entire system rewarding teachers for their interactions and giving them access to an online store where they can reward themselves or purchase materials for their students.

It is important that when starting, you follow the on boarding guides. There is a certain level of complexity that once understood will help you gain greater control of your teaching.
